The Power Division specializes in applications of electrochemistry. The division is responsible for researching, designing, building, and testing a power source that; provides enough energy output to power the car during the competition, is safe to handle, and is environmentally friendly. Alkaline batteries and fuel cells are the current team’s focus.

Ivy Hwang
Ivy is a curious 3rd year Chemical Engineering student who often contemplates life – family, friends and battery life, of course. She is passionate about bringing theoretical ideas into actions. As a Power Lead, she is excited to develop and optimize the battery system by collaborating with members and other divisions.
Ami Zeng
Ami is a 3rd year Chemical Engineering student pursuing a minor in bioengineering. She loves cooking, Disney movies, hiking, and travelling. Being the Power Division Lead has enabled her to continue working on optimizing the current battery, communicating, creating an open environment, as well as bringing creativity and research knowledge to the team.

Jinmyung Jang
Jinmyung is a Chemical Engineering student currently on PEY internship. With multiple research experiences, he is proficient in thinking critically and tackling problems. As a previous Power Division Lead and current Power Division Advisor, he aims to deliver his knowledge and experience to the team.
